Block Party with Pizza and Live Music for All
I’ve been living in San Jose, California, for over 10 years now and every year on my street we have our traditional block party. We close off the street and every neighbor brings out their barbeque. We eat from 4 to 7 and then all the neighbourhood’s musicians, including the kids, get together for a live concert.
Genoese focaccia has always been a must at this party, but in the past 2 years I have started making pizza using this recipe and baking it in my great “4 Pizze” AlfaPizza.it oven. As you can see in this video, pizza is always a huge success and I have to say, since I started using my AlfaPizza oven, any event turns into a feast.
We also had some Italian guys over, visiting Silicon Valley on a study holiday, and they couldn’t believe such great pizza was actually homemade.
After the lovely food all musicians gather and we start the concert. Here’s the Vivalafocaccia team playing Roxanne by Police: my daughter Laura on the drums, and my brother in law Angelo, not just a great guitarist, but also an enthusiast who’s getting more and more involved in this blog.
